The Wellion LIPID pro test system measures 5 values in less than 2 minutes: Total cholesterol (TC), HDL, LDL, triglycerides and the TC/HDL ratio. The portable (no cable) and reliable system enables the simple determination of lipid concentrations in capillary and venous whole blood, plasma and serum. All components can be stored at room temperature.
When and why is a lipid measurement useful?
An unbalanced lipid profile can significantly increase the risk of secondary diseases. Lipometabolic disorders are a problem because they do not cause any symptoms for a long time. However, they can be recognised at an early stage with a blood test. Blood lipid levels are also determined if lipometabolic disorders are suspected and to monitor the success of lipid-lowering therapy (e.g. diet or medication).

Diabetes or insulin resistance

For patients and healthcare professionals, lipid measurement in the postprandial (non-fasting) state is a great relief and facilitates outpatient customer care.
