Handling the Wellion PROTECT PRO SAFETY PENNEEDLES
1. Remove safety seal
After removing the safety seal, the safety pen needle can be screwed onto the insulin pen (note: turn until the safety pen needle is firmly secured!)
2. BEFORE the insulin injection
The colour coding is visible on the unused Wellion PROTECT PRO SAFETY PENNEEDLES
The injection should be administered at 90° angle to the skin (if needed, gently stretch the skin)
Note: The needle must be fully inserted into the skin for the safety mechanism to activate after use!Only THEN start the insulin delivery!
3. AFTER the insulin injection
After use, the coloured cap of the Wellion PROTECT PRO SAFETY PENNEEDLES is NO LONGER visible! The safety mechanism is activated and covers the needle.
Tip: Vary the injection sites throughout the day to support proper rotation and avoid repeated use of the same area.
