The increased blood sugar level has a lasting effect on the skin: its sweat and sebaceous gland activity is reduced, making the skin dry, flaky and cracked. Urea is a metabolic product that occurs on healthy human skin. It is one of the so-called natural moisturising factors (NMF) of the skin and ensures an improved water-binding capacity. This is further enhanced by the combination with another active ingredient, glycerine. This combination of active ingredients is rounded off by the ingredient lactic acid, which, like urea, is a component of the skin's natural moisturising system.

Scientifically proven effects of urea:
